Am Nat

About the club

Am Nat means strength in Thai — not only physical fitness, but the inner strength of a fighter. The Kraków club focuses exclusively on Muay Thai, so you learn the original form of the art without mixing in other styles. The gym is set up for Thai boxing and nothing else.

Classes are led by Grzegorz Bąk, a European Cup bronze medallist, multiple Polish Championship medallist, Muay Thai instructor and referee. We train people who treat Muay Thai as recreation and those who want to compete. Small groups let coaches match the level in the room. Visit Am Nat and discover Muay Thai.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is Thailand’s national sport and martial art. Training uses fists, kicks, elbows and knees — the art of eight limbs.

Its roots go back to the Tai people who moved from southern China into present-day Thailand in the 12th and 13th centuries. Warriors recorded fighting strategy in the Chupasart. Legend has it that sticks and swords were replaced by hands and legs — the body became the weapon, and Muay Thai was born.

At Am Nat we teach it both as recreation and as competitive sport.

Marcin Bernasiewicz

Hi! My name is Marcin, and for over three decades, my life has revolved around the ring. I’ve built up my experience by training in boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. I honed my skills by training in Belarus and Thailand. I’ve also competed in boxing and Muay Thai tournaments myself. Since 2010, my heart has been with the Am Nat club in Kraków, where, as an experienced coach, I lead classes for people of all skill levels—from complete beginners to competitive athletes. Whether your goal is to compete, lose weight, or simply relieve stress after a hard day’s work—I’ll find the right solution for you. I offer group classes, personal training in pairs (2 people), and fully personalized one-on-one sessions. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

My passion for combat sports was instilled in me at home by my uncle; that’s where I first came into contact with Kyokushin Karate. I then spent two years delving into the intricacies of MMA, until 2011, when I joined the Am Nat club on a permanent basis. Under Coach Grzegorz’s guidance, I went through every step—from the beginner’s group to becoming Polish Champion and a coach. In the meantime, I spent a year in the UK, where I gained a British perspective on Muay Thai under the guidance of Christian Knowles at the famous Knowlesy Academy, whose colors I represented while competing in British rings. I’m constantly gaining new experience—both in the ring and as a coach—so that I can continue to share my knowledge. I’ve been practicing Muay Thai for 8 years, and for the past 3 years I’ve been sharing my knowledge as a coach. This sport is my biggest passion—and at times, even an obsession—which is why I always give 100% in training. I value ambition, commitment, and, above all, a good rapport with my students. I want our sessions to be focused and productive, but also to have a relaxed atmosphere, lots of energy, and, above all, to be fun. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already have experience—I want every training session to give you something extra and motivate you to keep improving. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
